On April 2, 2021, the Town of Merrimack will officially celebrate its 275th Birthday. As part of the Town’s yearlong celebration the Parks & Recreation Department invites you to join us on Saturday, May 15th for this historic occasion for the 2.75 mile “Not Quite A 5K Run/Walk” in Celebration of Merrimack.
This family-friendly road race is perfect for both avid runners and recreational walkers alike. The relatively flat course begins and ends in the heart of historic downtown Merrimack. The race will be professionally timed by North Star Timing and will employ a “time trial start” format that will facilitate “social distancing”. Participants will be seeded based on their self-submitted paces and sorted by pace from fastest to slowest.
We are also offering a 2.75 Mile Virtual Race! For this event you will have access to RaceJoy which is our GPS virtual race tracking app. It allows you to run your 2.75 mile virtual race anywhere in the world and the results will be automatically uploaded to our results page. You can also create free virtual bibs and finishers certificates. We look forward to you joining us “virtually” sometime between Saturday May 15, 2021 thru Sunday May 23, 2021.
All registered participants will receive a limited edition “Not Quite A 5K Race” Finishers Medal and a short sleeve cotton t-shirt. Proceeds from the Race will benefit the Parks & Recreation Department and its events to celebrate Merrimack’s 275th Birthday.
Please note that the race price is $25 through May 1, 2021 increasing to $30 after May 1.
