Come and join the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department this summer for our free weekly Summer Concert Series at Abbie Griffin Park. Concerts are held on Wednesday Nights from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
Concerts will feature a variety of musical performances including Oldies, Swing, Rhythm & Blues & Classic Rock music and more to fill the air! Bring your family & friends, blankets & chairs, & dinner to enjoy this free night of entertainment each week.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 23RD - MISS JULIEANN & MR. JOEY
Using childhood classics, as well as original songs from Miss Julieann's new new album, "Miss Julieann: Therapeutic Songs for Kids", Miss Julieann and Mr. Joel will be getting the students to move, shake, imagine, laugh and challenge themselves in a variety of ways. This concert is sponsored by the Merrimack Public Library as part of their summer reading program.

Known as one of Boston’s best oldies bands, The Reminisants have been entertaining audiences of all ages throughout New England since 1973. The band specializes in music from the 1950’s through the 1990’s, playing a collection of great music for all kinds of musical tastes and generations.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 28TH - STUDIO TWO: BEATLES TRIBUTE BAND
An Annual Crowd Favorite and hailed “New England’s Best Beatles Tribute Band,” Studio Two continues its national tour in celebration of The Beatles music before America (1960-1963) and the early hits from the touring years (1963-1966). Studio Two is a headlining Beatles band that pays tribute to the early Beatles years, choosing songs from the pre-Sgt. era. Featuring graduates from Berklee College of Music and Beatles devotees, Studio Two band mates met in a “cellar full of noise” in a town slightly west of Liverpool (Milford, New Hampshire!) to pay homage to the greatest rock band of all time. By recreating the Fab Four’s music, instruments, and onstage banter, Studio Two performs your most favorite hits that will bring people to the dance floor.
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 4TH - NORTH RIVER MUSIC
North River has an Americana sound with strong harmonies and expressive musicianship. Playing covers of rock, bluegrass and country songs, a North River set is fun to listen to with something familiar for everyone. From the Eagles and Dylan to the Indigo Girls and Grateful Dead come to dance, come to listen - you'll like what you hear!
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 11TH - ROCKIN' RON THE FRIENDLY PIRATE
Rockin’ Ron the Friendly Pirate captivates kids of all ages with his pirate-themed music, clever lyrics, and endless pirate speak! He has produced three albums of original music and plays in venues all over New England, though he is always happy to return to his home port-o-call at Smuggler’s Notch in Vermont. This concert is held in conjunction with the Merrimack Public Library and their summer reading program.
CONCERTS WILL BE HELD AT ABBIE GRIFFIN PARK FROM 6:00 - 8:00 PM AND ARE WEATHER DEPENDENT. PHYSICAL DISTANCING RULES ARE IN PLACE AND ATTENDEES SHOULD WEAR A MASK WHEN THEY CANNOT BE SOCIALLY DISTANT FROM OTHER FAMILIES.
In the event of Inclement Weather on the day of a concert; check the status of the concert by going to our Facebook Page or the Parks & Recreation website. A decision will generally be posted by 1:00 pm whether the concert will be held that day or not.
