Camp Trek Teen Adventure Camp is a trip & activity based summer camp program, which is geared towards participants entering grades 5 to 9 in Fall 2023. Camp Trek is geared as an alternative to the traditional day camp experience found at Naticook Day Camp. Each week of the summer will feature a mix of traditional Summer Camp activities along with five weekly field trips exploring destinations across New England.
Campers will typically depart Camp around 9:00 am and get back late in the afternoon before Camp ends at 4:00 pm. Camp tuition fees include transportation and admissions fees to all field trip destinations, activities when they are at Wasserman Park. Trek Campers will receive a total of 5 T-Shirts per child even if they are attending multiple session. Campers are expected to where their t-shirts all summer long while on field trip days.

For the second year in a row, the New Hampshire Department of Education is partnering with New Hampshire camps and school-age summer programs across the state to offer students the unique opportunity to move beyond COVID-19 and be a kid again. Students of all ages, backgrounds and abilities benefit from exposure to short-term summer enrichment programs, including in the areas of challenge, friend-making, positivity, and emotional safety. These are all things that New Hampshire camps and school-age programs do best.
The NH Department of Education is partnering with New Hampshire camps this summer (including Merrimack Parks & Recreation) across the state to offer students the unique opportunity to move beyond COVID-19 and be a kid again.
Eligible students can receive a scholarship to cover the cost of 1-2 camp weeks (assuming there is availability in our Camp)
Eligible students’ participation in the program are prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis until all program funds are exhausted. You will apply to the program thru the Department of Education and if you are approved in one of the 3 eligible categories listed above; then the Department of Education then sets up an Online Account for you where can direct which Summer Camp you want the funding to go to. The Department of Education then pays the camp directly for the amount that you dictate to go to that Summer Camp.
Click on the link below to apply for the ReKINDling Curiosity: Every Kid Goes to Camp scholarship program. If you already have a FACTS account simply log in to begin your application, otherwise click on “Create your Account” to get started.
In the first box that pops up; it will ask for School and you want it to say: "ReKINDling Curiosity: Every Kid Goes to Camp".
Once you complete and submit the application; you will get a follow up email from the Department of Education to indicate whether you qualify and then the next steps to complete the process.
Once you receive your instructions from Class Wallet to setup your account; you will select Pay Vendor and then select Merrimack Parks & Recreation from the list.
The first child in the household pays the full tuition rate. A discount of $25 per week per child is applied to the 2nd of more children in the same household who are attending the same week.
