12/8 Update:  The full trifecta package, 2k and 4k are sold out.  Limited spaces are still available for the Turn Up The Heat Chili 6k 


Don’t let the arrival of winter keep you indoors. Come and join Merrimack Parks and Recreation for a unique winter running series to be held at Wasserman Park. The event - the Wasserman Winter Warrior Trifecta will be held each month in January, February and March!


Kick off the new year on the right foot and start your Trifecta journey on Saturday, January 2nd with our “Hot Chocolate Sampler 2K” run/walk. For this 1.24 mile race, you will encounter 3 stations along the course which will offer you a different flavor of hot chocolate to sample and warm you up. Update: Our three flavors of hot chocolate that you will get samples of along the way are Candy Cane, S'mores, and Cookies & Cream!. *Race Completed: All runners who participated virtually will have their finisher medals mailed to them.


Continue your Trifecta journey on Saturday, February 6th with our “The S’more The Better 4K” race. During this 2.49 mile course; you will encounter 3 stations where you will collect the needed ingredients (in an individually wrapped baggie) to carry through to your strong finish; with all the supplies necessary to make a s’more while warming up at one of our fire pits after crossing the finish line. (Race is sold out at this time)

Round out your winter running Trifecta on Saturday, March 13th with our “Turn Up The Heat Chili 6K” race. For this 3.7 mile run; we will try to help you warm up by giving you chili of increasing heat at each station you encounter during your race.

All participants will receive a unique finisher medal for each individual race of the trifecta. The three race pieces all fit together to complete the Wasserman Winter Warrior Trifecta medal combo.

Race Fees:
Hot Chocolate Sampler 2K $10 (Participants receive a 2K finisher medal)
The S’more The Better 4K $15 (Participants receive 4K finisher medal)
Turn up the Heat Chili 6K $20 (Participants receive a 6K finisher medal)


SIGN UP FOR THE 3 RACE PACKAGE FOR A FEE OF $40.00: SAVINGS OF $5.00 OFF THE RACE COST AND YOU RECEIVE ALL 3 FINISHER MEDALS ALONG WITH A COMMEMORATIVE LONG SLEEVE EVENT SHIRT WITH YOUR REGISTRATION.


Interested in participating but don’t want to run outdoors this winter or one of the dates doesn't work for you? Sign up for our virtual option and send us a picture of your tracked time app or treadmill and we will mail your race swag out to you. Simply click the virtual option on the registration form. 


Food Available:

Merrimack Friends & Families will be selling food and drinks to participants and spectators during the race. 

For the Hot Chocolate Sampler 2K they will have Water, Hot Chocolate, Coffee & baked goods

For the S'more the Better 4K; they will selling hotdogs

For the Turn up the Heat Chili 6L they will be selling chili, chips, water and baked goods 


Funds raised benefit Merrimack Friends & Families charitable causes so we hope you will consider supporting them. 


Registration Information

The total number of entries in the race is limited to 50 participants and we encourage people to register early.  


1st Wave of Race begins at 12:00 pm

Start  waves will be limited size for safety and social distancing of racers.  Racers will receive an email 1 week prior to the race date with any needed race updates.

3 PART RACE MEDALS

Race Rules & Guidelines

 

  • You can wear whatever you want, but all runners must wear their racing bib number. 
  • Micro spikes are recommended but not required.
  • Costumes are not required but certainly encouraged.  
  • No pets allowed
  • Runners must abide by all instructions given from the race staff and volunteers.
  • Runners must be at least 8 years old by race day in order to  participate. Runners under the age of 10, must be accompanied by an Adult.
  • No Strollers or wheeled instruments will be allowed on the race course
  • All entries are final and non-refundable. 
  • In the event of a snowstorm on the day of the race (or the night beforehand); race maybe postponed to the following weekend. Participants will be contacted with the details.
