The Depot Street Boat Ramp provides carry-in boating and fishing access to the Merrimack River. The boat ramp is also the site of Reeds Ferry, one of the two ferries that was active in Merrimack during the Colonial period. It was also the site of a Boston and Maine Railroad depot.
The Horseshoe Pond boat ramp, located on Island Drive, has trailer launched or carry-in boating. Horseshoe Pond is an ox-bow pond, created when the Merrimack River changed course and sediment buildup cut it off from the main channel of the river.
