

The Town of Merrimack, Parks & Recreation Department is looking to hire some dynamic and energetic staff to work at Camp this summer.
Countless individuals fall in love with the camp experience each summer, and many make it part of their lives year after year.
Campers remember their counselors for many summers and often return because of them. Positions are Mondays - Fridays (no Nights or Weekends) and a guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Join Holt Ave Community Training Center at Merrimack Parks and Recreation for this hands-on class that equips pet owners with the essential skills to respond confidently in a pet emergency. Participants will learn how to recognize signs of distress, perform basic CPR, handle choking situations, manage wounds and injuries, and know when to seek veterinary care. Designed for dog and cat owners, this two-hour session focuses on practical, easy-to-follow techniques that can help save a pet’s life before professional care is available.

The Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to announce the return of the Canoe/Kayak Boat Storage Rental Program at Wasserman Park, which began in 2025.
This program offers Merrimack residents the opportunity to rent seasonal storage space at Wasserman Park, eliminating the need to transport their boats daily and providing convenient access to the water.

Set sail for an island adventure at our Moana Beach-Themed Movie Night! Kids are invited to join us for an evening filled with tropical fun, creative crafts, exciting activities, delicious food, and a special movie experience — all inspired by the adventurous spirit of Moana.
Pizza Dinner to Kick Off the Fun!
We’ll start the evening with a tasty pizza dinner so our island adventurers can fuel up before the activities begin. It’s the perfect way to gather with friends and get excited for the night ahead!
After dinner, participants will enjoy a variety of beach-themed activities, including: Island Crafts – Create your own tropical keepsake! Island Games & Activities – Test your bravery with fun challenges inspired by the ocean! Popcorn & Movie Time – Once the fun winds down, kids will cozy up with popcorn to enjoy a partial showing of Moana on the big screen.

Join Merrimack Parks and Recreation and step back in time to experience the birthplace of the American Revolution as we travel by chartered bus to historic Lexington, Massachusetts, in celebration of the 250th Anniversary of independence. This two and a half hour fully guided tour brings history to life as a professional guide shares the powerful stories, people, and events that sparked the nation’s fight for independence.
Following the guided tour, relax and enjoy a reserved luncheon at the historic Wayside Inn in Sudbury, one of the oldest operating inns in the United States. Guests will enjoy a classic New England meal in a warm, colonial setting that perfectly complements the day’s historical theme.
This memorable day trip blends history, storytelling, and great food, an ideal way to commemorate this milestone anniversary while enjoying a comfortable and enriching group experience. Trip departs from the Exit 8 Park & Ride at 8:00 am

The Safe Sitter® Babysitting Training Course prepares students in grades 6–8 to be safe and confident when they are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting.
This interactive course is filled with fun activities, hands-on practice, and role-playing exercises that teach students how to prevent unsafe situations and what to do when faced with emergencies such as power outages, injuries, or severe weather.
Students learn age-appropriate child care techniques, behavior management strategies, and the stages of child development. Hands-on practice includes skills such as diapering and caring for young children.

Come and join Merrimack Parks & Recreation and staff from the Naticook After School Program over the April School Vacation week with activities designed to keep your children busy and entertained all week long.
Children will participate in a variety of sports, games, arts & crafts projects, nature exploration, outdoor activities and much more designed to burn off some energy. A daily hot lunch is included in the cost of your tuition.
Sign up by the day or for for the entire week. Extended Care is available from 4:00 - 5:00 pm for an additional fee of $10 per day.

Soak up the rich history, hear the echoes of the past and join the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department as we travel to Fenway Park. "America's Most Beloved Ballpark" is a place where dreams are made, traditions are celebrated and baseball is forever.
Traveling to Fenway Park on your own is not easy. Let us handle the transportation so you can enjoy the game. Cost of the trip is $115 per person and trip fee includes deluxe motorcoach transportation and a ticket to the game. Tickets are in the Infield Grandstand Section 22 (behind home plate). Trip departs from the Exit 8 Park & Ride at 11:00 am. Game time is 1:35 pm.

Hands-on practice builds confidence in CPR, AED use, and choking relief. Ideal for workplace training, community members, and anyone who wants to be prepared to save a life. Certification provided upon successful completion.
