Wasserman Park Construction Alert

Encore Boston Harbor Casino Bus Trip

Encore Boston Harbor Casino Bus Trip

The Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department is advising residents and park visitors that construction on the main road at Wasserman Park will begin on Thursday, September 3, 2026.

Construction will take place on the park road beginning near the Parks & Recreation Office and continuing down the hill past the tennis courts. During construction, vehicles will not be permitted to drive down the hill to the waterfront parking lot.

PARKING & PARK ACCESS

During construction, all visitors must park in one of the two main parking areas at the top of the hill:

  • The parking lot behind the Parks & Recreation Office
  • The parking lot near the Wasserman Park Dog Park

All park amenities will remain open but you will need to park at the top of the hill and walk to these areas. The roadway leading to the Wasserman Park Function Hall will also be closed to vehicle traffic during construction.

This project will provide several significant improvements to the main park road. In addition to repairing the existing roadway, the project will address ongoing erosion and storm water runoff issues. The road will also be widened from the Parks & Recreation Office down past the tennis courts to accommodate two-way vehicle traffic, improving access and traffic flow within Wasserman Park once the project is completed.
