The 32nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Wasserman Park returns in 2024 on Saturday, March 23,2024. Come and join Merrimack Parks & Recreation for this Annual tradition. For this year's event, we have 6,500 Easter eggs ready to hand out between our 5 different groups. Each group has a specific time for their Easter Egg Hunt. All children should bring their own Easter basket to collect your eggs in.

Join our instructor Jen at Merrimack Parks and Recreation and practice the ancient craft of Quilling, creating art with paper rolls.
A great workshop for older youths and adults where you will make your own flower garden with beautiful paper strips.
New registration Price includes basic quilling tool to take home. Reduced price for previous attendee's with quilling tools.

The Merrimack Community Garden is located at 116 Naticook Road in Wasserman Park and is managed by the Parks & Recreation Department. Residents and non-residents may begin reserving plot(s) on April 1st for the 2024 Season. Interested participants can reserve as many spaces as they wish (assuming available space) and the fees listed above are per 10 x 10 foot plot.
After you register for your garden plot you will be notified of your assigned space(s). Spaces are assigned on a first come first serve basis. Click on the link below for additional details.

Do you like to spend time outdoors? Accidents happen; if you or someone in your group got hurt, would you know what to do? People get hurt, sick, or lost. Many back country emergencies are preventable and even when bad things happen, sometimes the wrong care can make things worse.
Wilderness First Aid is the perfect course for the outdoor enthusiast or trip leader who wants more than basic level of first aid training for short trips with family, friends, and outdoor groups. The 16 hour long (two-day) program focuses on the skills of: Response and Assessment, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Environmental Emergencies, Survival Skills, Soft Tissue Injuries, and Medical Emergencies.Those who complete the course and pass the written and practical skills will receive a Wilderness First Aid certification from SOLO which is valid for 2 years.

Help us clean up our parks, open space areas and adopt a road locations. You can sign up as a group or as an individual.
Groups will meet at the Parks & Recreation Office at Wasserman Park to pickup gloves and trash bags.

Soak up the rich history, hear the echoes of the past and join the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Dept as we travel to Fenway Park. "America's Most Beloved Ballpark" is a place where dreams are made, traditions are celebrated and baseball is forever. For the first time since 2017; watch the Boston Red Sox take on the Chicago Cubs in this early season matchup!
Traveling to Fenway Park on your own is not easy and parking is expensive. Let us handle the transportation so you can enjoy the game. Cost of the trip is $99 per person and trip fee includes deluxe motorcoach transportation and a ticket to the game. Tickets are in the Infield Grandstand Section 30 (along the 3rd base line)
Trip departs from the Exit 8 Park & Ride at 5:00 pm. Game time is 7:05 pm.

Come join the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department on Saturday, May 4th as we travel down to the Emerson Colonial Theater in Boston to see Clue: A New Comedy on stage as part of the Broadway In Boston Theater Series.
Murder and blackmail are on the menu when six mysterious guests assemble at Boddy Manor for a night they’ll never forget! Was it Mrs. Peacock in the study with the knife? Or was it Colonel Mustard in the library with the wrench? Based on the cult 1985 Paramount movie and inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is the ultimate whodunit that will leave you dying of laughter and keep you guessing until the final twist.
The bus will depart from the Exit 8 Park & Ride which is located in 8 N Southwood Drive in Nashua at 12:15 pm and will get us to the theater for 1:15 pm and the show begins at 2:00 pm. Trip returns home for 5:00 pm. Trip includes Balcony Level ticket to the show and luxury motor coach transportation.

Events are back at SNHU Arena in Manchester and the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department has been able to secure a limited number of tickets to see Cirque Du Soleil's new show "OVO"
Cirque du Soleil is bringing its newly revisited high-energy and high-acrobatic production OVO. An exciting Cirque du Soleil experience,OVO is a colorful intrusion into a new day in the life of insects; a non-stop riot of energy and movement. Through show-stopping acrobatics highlighting the unique personalities and abilities of selected insect species, OVO explores the beauty of biodiversity in all its contrasts and vibrancy. For its relaunch in 2022, three new acts and new characters were incorporated to the joyful OVO colony to delight audiences of all ages.
Seats are in Section 224; Rows H, K & L. Seats are sold on a first come first serve basis and we do expect to sell out.
