The Town of Merrimack, Parks & Recreation Department is  looking to hire some dynamic and energetic staff to work at Camp this summer.

Countless individuals fall in love with the camp experience each summer, and many make it part of their lives year after year. 

Campers remember their counselors for many summers and often return because of them. Positions are Mondays - Fridays (no Nights or Weekends) and a guaranteed 40 hours per week.

The  Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to announce the  return of the Canoe/Kayak Boat Storage Rental Program at Wasserman Park, which began in 2025. 

This program offers Merrimack residents the opportunity to rent seasonal  storage space at Wasserman Park, eliminating the need to transport their  boats daily and providing convenient access to the water.

Program Overview:

• To ensure a fair distribution, we have implemented a lottery system.  Merrimack residents interested in participating may enter the lottery,  and nineteen (19) individuals will be selected at random. If any spaces  remain following the lottery, they will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Since Wasserman Park Beach is restricted to Merrimack residents only, eligibility for the lottery is limited to Merrimack residents.
• The lottery will be open from April 13th, 2026 through May 11th,  2026 at 4:00 pm. Selected participants will be notified on May 15th,  2026 and will receive an invoice for $100.00 to secure their storage  space for the 2026 season.

The  Safe Sitter® Babysitting Training Course prepares students in grades  6–8 to be safe and confident when they are home alone, watching younger  siblings, or babysitting.
 

This interactive course is filled  with fun activities, hands-on practice, and role-playing exercises that  teach students how to prevent unsafe situations and what to do when  faced with emergencies such as power outages, injuries, or severe  weather.
 

Students learn age-appropriate  child care techniques, behavior management strategies, and the stages of  child development. Hands-on practice includes skills such as diapering  and caring for young children.

Fee:  $60.00 per day - 1st Child

Come and join Merrimack Parks & Recreation and staff from the Naticook After School Program over the April School Vacation week with activities designed to keep your children busy and entertained all week long. 

Children will participate in a variety of sports, games, arts & crafts projects, nature exploration, outdoor activities and much more designed to burn off some energy. A daily hot lunch is included in the cost of your tuition.

Sign up by the day or for for the entire week. Extended Care is available from 4:00 - 5:00 pm for an additional fee of $10 per day.

Soak up the rich history,  hear the echoes of the past and join the Merrimack  Parks &  Recreation Department as we travel to Fenway Park.  "America's Most  Beloved Ballpark" is a place where dreams are made, traditions are  celebrated and baseball is forever.
 

Traveling to  Fenway Park on your  own is not easy.  Let us handle the transportation so you can enjoy the  game. Cost of the trip is $115 per person and trip  fee includes deluxe  motorcoach transportation and a ticket to the game.  Tickets are in the  Infield Grandstand Section 22 (behind home plate). Trip departs from the Exit 8 Park & Ride at 11:00 am. Game time is  1:35 pm.

Join Holt Ave Community Training Center at Merrimack Parks and Recreation for this three to four-hour, instructor-led Heartsaver® CPR & AED course prepares participants to recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults, children, and infants. Hands-on practice builds confidence in CPR, AED use, and choking relief. Ideal for workplace training, community members, and anyone who wants to be prepared to save a life. Certification provided upon successful completion.

Come and join Coach Dee for this weekly Adult Intermediate Level Tennis Program. "Tennis Tuesdays" for intermediate level players only.  (Must be NTRP level 3.0 or above). 

Singles and Doubles Social tennis OR challenge matches, by choice!   We will play singles, doubles or Canadian doubles depending upon the number of participants each week.Prizes at the end of summer for best attendance and more..Tennis balls will be provided.
