Upcoming Programs & Events

The Town of Merrimack, Parks & Recreation Department is  looking to hire some dynamic and energetic staff to work at Camp this summer.

Countless individuals fall in love with the camp experience each summer, and many make it part of their lives year after year. Campers remember their counselors for many summers and often return because of them. Positions are Mondays - Fridays and a guaranteed 40 hours per week. 

Wednesdays March 4th - April 15th (No 3/11)

9:00 - 9:45 am

Ages 1-5

Fee: $90.00 pp

Join Miss Jen and have fun making 4 fun craft projects each week including rainbows, birds' nests, bunny and chick crafts.

Join  Miss Jen and get the best of both art and fitness in this one hour  class that includes an exercise session and ends with crafts

Come and join Merrimack Parks &  Recreation and Staff from Camp Naticook  during this no school day  program with activities designed to keep your  children busy and  entertained all day long.
 

We will spend our  day at Wasserman  Park where children will participate in a variety of  sports, games,  arts & crafts projects, nature exploration, outdoor  activities and  much more. A daily hot lunch is included in the cost of your tuition.  Advanced registration is required and spaces are limited.

Join Merrimack Parks and Recreation for a magical Princess Party (Swifty Style!) an enchanted evening filled with sparkle, music, and fun  inspired by everyone’s favorite pop princess. Come dressed in your  coziest princess PJs or your best Swift-worthy outfit and get ready to  shine like a star!

Join Holt Ave Community Training Center at Merrimack Parks and Recreation for this CPR and AED course.
 

After successful competition of this course you will be able to administer  hands on CPR, Use an AED, Help a choking adult, and Identify signs and  symptoms of cardiac arrest.

Do you like to spend time outdoors? Accidents happen; if you or someone in your group got hurt, would you know what to do? People get hurt, sick, or lost.  Many back country emergencies are preventable and even when bad things happen, sometimes the wrong care can make things worse. 

Wilderness First Aid is the perfect course for the outdoor enthusiast or trip leader who wants more than basic level of first aid training for short trips with family, friends, and outdoor groups. The 16 hour long (two-day) program focuses on the skills of: Response and Assessment, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Environmental Emergencies, Survival Skills, Soft Tissue Injuries, and Medical Emergencies.

Those who complete the course and pass the written and practical skills will receive a Wilderness First Aid certification from SOLO which is valid for 2 years.

Come and join the Town of Merrimack for the 34th Annual Easter Egg Hunt which returns to Wasserman Park on Saturday March 28th from 10:00 am - 11:30 am. 

For  this year's event, we have more than 8,000 Easter eggs ready to hand  out between our 5 different groups.

Join  Holt Ave Community Training Center at Merrimack Parks and Recreation  for this hands-on class that equips pet owners with the essential skills  to respond confidently in a pet emergency. Participants will learn how  to recognize signs of distress, perform basic CPR, handle choking  situations, manage wounds and injuries, and know when to seek veterinary  care. Designed for dog and cat owners, this two-hour session focuses on  practical, easy-to-follow techniques that can help save a pet’s life  before professional care is available.

Join  Merrimack Parks and Recreation and step back in time to experience the  birthplace of the American Revolution as we travel by chartered bus to  historic Lexington, Massachusetts, in celebration of the 250th  Anniversary of independence. This two and a half hour fully guided tour  brings history to life as a professional guide shares the powerful  stories, people, and events that sparked the nation’s fight for  independence.
 

Following  the guided tour, relax and enjoy a reserved luncheon at the historic  Wayside Inn in Sudbury, one of the oldest operating inns in the United  States. Guests will enjoy a classic New England meal in a warm, colonial  setting that perfectly complements the day’s historical theme.
 

This  memorable day trip blends history, storytelling, and great food, an  ideal way to commemorate this milestone anniversary while enjoying a  comfortable and enriching group experience.

Boston Red Sox vs. Houston Astros Bus Trip

Soak up the rich history,  hear the echoes of the past and join the Merrimack  Parks &  Recreation Department as we travel to Fenway Park.  "America's Most  Beloved Ballpark" is a place where dreams are made, traditions are  celebrated and baseball is forever.
 

Traveling to  Fenway Park on your  own is not easy.  Let us handle the transportation so you can enjoy the  game. Cost of the trip is $115 per person and trip  fee includes deluxe  motorcoach transportation and a ticket to the game.  Tickets are in the  Infield Grandstand Section 22 (behind home plate) 

Trip departs from the Exit 8 Park & Ride at 11:00 am. Game time is  1:35 pm.  
 

* The Boston Red Sox uses digital  ticketing with the  MLB app and you will need a smart phone so that we  can transfer the  tickets to you electronically before the game.
