Amazing Athletes is an education sports and fitness program endorsed by child development experts to help children reach motor development milestones while building confidence through positive movement experiences.
For over 20+ years, Amazing Athletes have been partnering with schools and communities, helping to set kids on a path to an active and healthy lifestyle by teaching them the basics of sports, health and nutrition. By introducing kids to a variety of sports and physical activities, we give them an opportunity to discover and explore to find what they most enjoy and can pursue as they grow.

With the help of our Muscle Zoo friends, we teach the fundamentals of martial arts in this high-energy progression-based program. Students learn & practice the traditions & skills of the sport, and receive colored belts and stripes for their achievement. Hi-yah!
Inspired by the traditions & practices of martial arts, Karate Zoo is designed to benefit a child’s physical, social & emotional development while building confidence & teaching practical life lessons.

Soccer Stars has impacted over 1 million kids over the last 20+ years through soccer. We use soccer as a vehicle to help children playfully develop self-confidence, improve motor skills, hone socialization skills, while having fun and preparing them pressure free for tryout sports.

The Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department is excited to introduce our Early Release Day Program, designed to provide a safe, fun, and engaging afternoon for your child on early dismissal days.
From 12:00 – 6:00 pm, students from all three elementary schools and the James Mastricola Upper Elementary School can take advantage of convenient bus transportation directly from school to Wasserman Park. Upon arrival, our Parks & Recreation staff will lead an afternoon filled with special activities, games, and themed events, ensuring your child has a memorable and active day. A nutritious afternoon snack is included.
Families can pick up their children at the Function Hall at Wasserman Park at the end of the program. Advance registration is required, and space is limited, so reserve your spot early!

Parents night out! Because every parent deserves some time to themselves while their child/ren are off having fun in this video game themed evening.
Make your child's interest in video games a fun social experience! Participants will have an exciting evening with peers playing Nintendo Switch multiplayer games such as Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros and other various games, a pizza dinner is included too! Program is held in the Function Hall at Wasserman Park. Advanced registration is required and spaces are limited. Fee: $25.00.
Participants may bring their own Nintendo Switch to connect with other players if they choose to.

Calling all Pokémon Trainers! Grab your phones, lace up your sneakers, and get ready for an epic Pokémon GO Night packed with adventure, teamwork, and tons of fun. Trainers will explore designated play areas as they search for Pokémon, spin PokéStops, battle in gyms, and complete exciting challenges along the way.
Staff will lead organized games, group challenges, and friendly competitions designed for all experience levels—from brand-new Trainers to seasoned Masters. Along the way, participants will earn prizes, trade tips, and work together to “catch ’em all!”
This supervised, outdoor and indoors program encourages physical activity, social interaction, and safe gameplay in a fun and engaging environment.
Participants must bring:
A smartphone or device with Pokémon GO installed
Comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
Get ready to explore, battle, and become a Pokémon champion—the adventure awaits!

Set sail for an island adventure at our Moana Beach-Themed Movie Night! Kids are invited to join us for an evening filled with tropical fun, creative crafts, exciting activities, delicious food, and a special movie experience — all inspired by the adventurous spirit of Moana.
Pizza Dinner to Kick Off the Fun!
We’ll start the evening with a tasty pizza dinner so our island adventurers can fuel up before the activities begin. It’s the perfect way to gather with friends and get excited for the night ahead!
After dinner, participants will enjoy a variety of beach-themed activities, including:
Island Crafts – Create your own tropical keepsake!
Island Games & Activities – Test your bravery with fun challenges inspired by the ocean!
Popcorn & Movie Time – Once the fun winds down, kids will cozy up with popcorn to enjoy a partial showing of Moana on the big screen.
Dress the Part! Kids are encouraged to wear their favorite beach or island-inspired outfits (comfortable and activity-friendly).

The Safe Sitter® Babysitting Training Course prepares students in grades 6–8 to be safe and confident when they are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting.
This interactive course is filled with fun activities, hands-on practice, and role-playing exercises that teach students how to prevent unsafe situations and what to do when faced with emergencies such as power outages, injuries, or severe weather.
Students learn age-appropriate child care techniques, behavior management strategies, and the stages of child development. Hands-on practice includes skills such as diapering and caring for young children.
Students learn how to respond to common injuries and illnesses using a step-by-step system. They also practice important safety skills such as choking rescue, which is often a favorite part of the class.
Students gain confidence and professionalism by learning how to screen babysitting jobs, discuss fees, communicate with parents, and greet employers. These skills are practiced through interactive role-playing scenarios that prepare students for real babysitting experiences.

Join Merrimack Parks and Recreation and get ready to train like a superstar and battle like a hero at our action-packed K-Pop Demon Hunter Night! This high-energy evening is perfect for kids who love music, dancing, creativity, and adventure.
We’ll kick off the night with a pizza dinner, giving everyone a chance to fuel up before beginning their official Demon Hunter training. Once energized, participants will jump into a series of exciting themed activities inspired by the world of K-Pop and fantasy heroes.

The Camp Naticook Counselor in Training Program (CIT) is a FREE Training program that prepares teens who are 14 & 15 years old to become future leaders by developing self-esteem, peer relations, interpersonal skills, and leadership techniques. CIT participants will receive training to prepare them to work with adults, peers, and children.
Through a hands on learning experience, CIT's will get the chance to plan and implement camp activities for various age groups. They will also get the chance to learn from our dedicated team of camp staff. CIT’s will help to plan and implement weekly Camp special events.
2026 SESSION DATES:
Session 1: June 22nd - July 10th
Session 2: July 13th – July 31st
Session 3: August 3rd - August 21st
There is a limit of a maximum of 8 CIT's per session.
CIT's who successfully complete the program can expect to receive:
•Experience you can put on a resume or job application when you are of age to apply for employment.
•Weekly educational/developmental blocks.
•Opportunities to plan and lead activities.
•One Day pre-camp CIT training.
•Certificate of Completion

This is a weekly basketball camp that runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 -11:30 am.Led by Coach Kevin O'Leary each week of the camp offers a daily warm up exercises, explanation of skills; skill drills & training; positional play, team settings and skill review.
This camp focuses on developing individual skills, team play, good sportsmanship; application of game rules and having fun.

Spectacular Hands-On Science! Come join this very cool and fun summer program for children in grades K - 5! Each day the kids will explore up to 20 weird and wacky hands-on science experiments and will make and take home at least 10 different projects.
The scientists are fast paced and funny and your kids will be thoroughly entertained (they’ll even learn some interesting things too). We will explore weird motions and flying things, air and water pressure; crazy chemistry, light and sound, science magic, electricity, magnets, astronomy and more.
Participants should be water, 2 snacks and lunch with them daily.
A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is due at registration for each session that you are selecting. Full payment for the week selected is due 45 days prior to the session start date.
