Join Phoenix Archery for a once a month pin shoot! JOAD Achievement Award Star Pins are awarded for scoring achievements. Archers can earn JOAD Achievement Award Stars Pins for shooting indoors and/or outdoors with barebow, basic compound, fixed pins, recurve and/or compound bows.

Come and join Merrimack Parks & Recreation each month for our new walking program "Footprints & Fresh Air. Each month we will visit one of Merrimack's Town Parks or Conservation Areas for an easy 1 mile walk in the Park; which will be led by Parks & Recreation Committee member Brian Landrigan. All participants will receive a map as well as things to observe during the hike.
The goal of this program is to get people outdoors and walking while enjoying some of Merrimack's finest open space and natural areas.
There is no cost to participate, so sign up for 1 walk or join us for them all. We do ask you to register so we have an idea of how many people are coming and so we can send you a reminder the week with where to meet at each location or notify you if we have to cancel due to inclement weather.

Wasserman Park Beach
The American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard Certification course provides participants the knowledge and skills to prevent recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies in both shallow water (less than 7 feet) and deeper water (7 feet or more) and to provide professional level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.
This class is taught in a blended learning format and the assigned online portion(s) (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to each instructor-led session.
Prerequisites:
1. Minimum age: 15 years
2. Complete a swim-tread-swim sequence for 350 Yards
3. Complete a timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds by starting in the water swimming 20 yards surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7 to 12 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point holding the object at the surface with both hand exit the water without using a ladder or steps.
4. Underwater Swim - Starting in the water, swim 5 yards. Submerge, swim underwater and retrieve three dive rings. Return to the surface after picking up all three rings and then swim for another 5 yards to complete the sequence. Please note that goggles are not allowed for underwater swim
Participants who successfully complete this course receive an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (including deep water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid valid for 2 years and Waterfront Skills valid for 2 years.

Soak up the rich history, hear the echoes of the past and join the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department as we travel to Fenway Park. "America's Most Beloved Ballpark" is a place where dreams are made, traditions are celebrated and baseball is forever.
Traveling to Fenway Park on your own is not easy. Let us handle the transportation so you can enjoy the game. Cost of the trip is $99 per person and trip fee includes deluxe motorcoach transportation and a ticket to the game. Tickets are in the Infield Grandstand Section 10 (along the 1st base line) Trip departs from the Exit 8 Park & Ride at 11:30 am. Game time is 1:35 pm.
There is a special promotion this day in that after the game, all kids will get the opportunity to run the bases (weather permitting) at no additional cost. Tickets to the game are limited and will sell out quickly. Reserve your space today. Go Sox!

You don’t need to be an experienced game player to enjoy this trip. There is something for people of all skill levels. As part of registration fee, all participants will receive a $20.00 free slot play coupon.
The bus will depart from Twin Bridge Park in Merrimack (485 Daniel Webster Highway). at 9:00 am and will departs Casino at 2:30 pm to return at approximately 4:00 pm.

This entertaining and enlightening program will take you back to one of the greatest musical eras in American history. Enjoy video presentations of such artists as Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Everly Brothers, Fats Domino, the Coasters and Dion and the Belmonts with author and pop culture historian Marty Gitlin. Marty will discuss the impact these rock and roll pioneers made on society and pop culture. He will also challenge patrons with trivia questions and interact with a Q&A after the event. This one is a lot of fun so please join in!

This presentation highlights performance videos of influential British Invasion superstars such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kinks, Hollies, Dave Clark Five and The Who as well as American bands that provided a wonderful reply such as the Beach Boys, Mamas and Papas, Temptations, Simon & Garfunkel, Turtles and Rascals. The program also discusses how these artists influenced pop culture and society, compares and contrasts the music, and includes trivia questions for patrons to ponder (including snippets of songs from which patrons must identify the band!). The presentation will conclude with a question-and-answer period. This program is a lot of fun so join in!
