Do you like to spend time outdoors? Accidents happen; if you or someone in your group got hurt, would you know what to do? People get hurt, sick, or lost. Many back country emergencies are preventable and even when bad things happen, sometimes the wrong care can make things worse.
Wilderness First Aid is the perfect course for the outdoor enthusiast or trip leader who wants more than basic level of first aid training for short trips with family, friends, and outdoor groups. The 16 hour long (two-day) program focuses on the skills of: Response and Assessment, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Environmental Emergencies, Survival Skills, Soft Tissue Injuries, and Medical Emergencies.
Those who complete the course and pass the written and practical skills will receive a Wilderness First Aid certification from SOLO which is valid for 2 years.
Optional CPR Training
An optional Adult CPR Certification Course will be offered on Saturday evening for an additional fee of $50.00 for those who would like to get certified. While certification is recommended; it is not required.
Certification Received: Participants successfully completing the course will receive a certification from SOLO in Wilderness First Aid certification, which is good for 2 years
Coffee and snacks will be provided each day. This course will be held at Wasserman Park in Merrimack, NH.

Boston Red Sox vs. Houston Astros Bus Trip

Soak up the rich history, hear the echoes of the past and join the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department as we travel to Fenway Park. "America's Most Beloved Ballpark" is a place where dreams are made, traditions are celebrated and baseball is forever.
Traveling to Fenway Park on your own is not easy. Let us handle the transportation so you can enjoy the game. Cost of the trip is $115 per person and trip fee includes deluxe motorcoach transportation and a ticket to the game. Tickets are in the Infield Grandstand Section 22 (behind home plate)
Trip departs from the Exit 8 Park & Ride at 11:00 am. Game time is 1:35 pm.
* The Boston Red Sox uses digital ticketing with the MLB app and you will need a smart phone so that we can transfer the tickets to you electronically before the game.

Join the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department on Saturday, June 6th. Trip departs from the Exit 8 Park & Ride at 6:00 am and we will arrive in New York City around 10:45 am where you will be dropped off at Rockefeller Center. You will have until 6:30 pm to explore the city on your own at your own pace. Trip will return to Merrimack at approximately 11:30 pm. Advanced registration is required and spaces are limited!
Trip is open to both residents & non-residents. Participants under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an Adult.

This spectacular event offers crews, cadets and visitors from all over the world an unforgettable experience and a world-class maritime celebration.
The year 2026 marks the 250th Anniversary of our nation's founding in 1776 - the United States Sesquicentennial. For this milestone occasion, a fleet of the world's most magnificent international Tall Ships and military ships, will sail into the port of Boston as part of SAIL250.
Join us in experiencing the wonder and excitement of it all as we sail thru Boston's historic harbor on the Provincetown II, capturing magnificent views of the fleet. We'll l be viewing it all from the best vantage point possible - the water! Not only do you get the magnificence of the Tall Ships armada in Boston Harbor but this trip includes a great buffet meal at Danversport Yacht Club and light entertainment.
