Easter Egg Hunt - Saturday, March 23rd is a go!

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt is held rain or shine. The reason for this that between the volunteers, our community partners, the limited staff and other activities taking place at Wasserman Park; there simply is no option to reschedule this event to another date.

It then becomes a choice between in running in inclement weather, or simply cancelling the event outright. The shelf life of the candy in the eggs would not last a year and so we would have to throw it all away. We would prefer people dress appropriately for the weather and come out and enjoy the event. In the past; when we've had to operate special events in inclement weather; participants have still show up so proceeding as scheduled.

As a reminder this is a free event and registration is NOT required

32nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt

The 32nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Wasserman Park returns in 2024 on Saturday, March 23,2024. Come and join Merrimack Parks & Recreation for this Annual tradition.

For this year's event, we have 6,500 Easter eggs ready to hand out between our 5 different groups. Each group has a specific time for their Easter Egg Hunt. All children should bring their own Easter basket to collect your eggs in.

EASTER EGG HUNT TIMES

SPECIAL NEEDS 10:10 AM

AGES 1 - 3: 10:30 AM

AGES 4 - 5: 10:50 AM

AGES 6 - 7: 11:10 AM

AGES 8 -10: 11:30 AM

The Easter Bunny will be available for photos outside on the basketball court from 10:00 - 11:30 am.

Merrimack Friends & Families will also have Easter related baked goods for sale during the event with baked good, water and capri sun juice . Funds raised from the sale of these baked goods benefit Merrimack Friends & Families charitable causes, so we hope you will consider supporting them.

We have a number of community partners who will be providing free games and activities and Ritual Grooming will have a small petting Zoo from 10:00 am - 11:00 am.
