Banner honoring hometown heroes in Northvale.

HOMETOWN HEROES BANNER SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

Honor a Hometown Hero in 2027

Following an incredible inaugural year in 2026, Merrimack’s Hometown Heroes Banner Program will return in 2027!

This special community program provides families and friends with an opportunity to recognize and celebrate veterans and active-duty members of the United States Armed Forces with ties to Merrimack. Each personalized banner serves as a visible tribute to their service, sacrifice, and commitment to our country.

Interested in Sponsoring a Banner for 2027?

We are currently building an interest list for the 2027 Hometown Heroes Banner Program. If you would like to honor a family member, friend, or loved one, we encourage you to submit your contact information.

Joining the interest list does not reserve a banner or obligate you to purchase one. It simply ensures that you'll be among the first to receive information when registration for the 2027 program officially opens.

Once program pricing and registration details have been finalized, everyone on the interest list will be contacted by email with instructions on how to order a banner.

A Personalized Tribute to Your Hero

Each Hometown Heroes Banner features a photograph of the honoree along with information recognizing their military service, including their:

Rank and Name • Branch of Service • Era or Years Served • Medals or Distinguished Awards

Banners are proudly displayed throughout Merrimack each year from Memorial Day through Labor Day, creating a community-wide tribute to the men and women who have served our country.

Banner locations include:

Baboosic Lake Road — from O'Gara Drive to Daniel Webster Highway
Daniel Webster Highway — from Front Street to East Chamberlain Road

At the conclusion of each display season, the banners are carefully removed, maintained, and stored by the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department until they are installed again the following year.

Be Part of the 2027 Hometown Heroes Program

Help us continue this meaningful Merrimack tradition and ensure that the stories and service of our local heroes are proudly recognized throughout our community. Join the 2027 Interest List today and we'll contact you as soon as registration opens!
