United Way Pickleball Tournament

Fee: $40 per player


Enjoy  a fun Pickleball Tournament while at the same time supporting a local non profit that has served the greater Nashua community since 1930 in the areas of Education, Health and Economic Mobility
 

Please join us for pickleball, lunch (approx. 11 am) and live music. Each participant will receive a gift bag loaded with fun prizes.Competition prizes as follows:

1st place - each team member - $100 gift card

2nd place -each team member - $75 gift card

3rd place - each team member - $50 gift card


Play will be Round Robin with a new partner each game. Everyone is guaranteed to play at least 5 games with a max of 7. Advanced registration required.

The Town of Merrimack's Annual Halloween Party returns to Wasserman Park on Saturday, October 25, 2025 for it's 33rd Year! 


This year's event will feature a wide variety of FREE games, crafts, face painting, food (for sale), costume contest and much  more; which are provided by our local businesses & community  partner  Advanced registration is not required to attend the event.

3rd Annual Pumpkin Derby Race

Saturday, October 25th

Cost: FREE


Come  and join us for the 3rd Annual Pumpkin Soap Box Derby Race; which will take place during the Town of Merrimack's Annual Halloween Party. 


The  rules are simple: build a Derby Racer with a small pumpkin by putting  two axles through a pumpkin and attaching the wheels. At race time, put  your Derby Racer in the starting block, and let ‘er roll!.

Strides for Diabetes 2K Walk / 4K Run

Come and join the Merrimack Lions Club and  Merrimack Parks and Recreation for the Strides for Diabetes Awareness  event — a 2K Walk/4K Run dedicated to raising awareness about diabetes  and supporting those affected by it.


Whether you're a runner, a walker, or simply passionate about  making a difference, this family-friendly event welcomes all ages and  abilities. In addition to the walk/run, enjoy a health fair featuring  local vendors, free health screenings, and diabetes education and  resources to help you and your loved ones stay informed and empowered.  All participants will receive a Strides for Diabetes moisture  wicking T-Shirt if registered by October 24th.

Safe Sitter Training

Grades 6th -8th


 Safe  Sitter® prepares students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home  alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The lessons are filled  with fun activities and role-playing exercises. Students learn how to  prevent unsafe situations and what to do when faced with dangers such as  power failures or weather emergencies. Participants will learn tips to  manage behavior along with the ages and stages of child development.  Class will also include rescue skills such as choking rescue and CPR and  how to assess and respond to injuries and illnesses. Lastly this course  will teach participants how to screen jobs, discuss fees, and greet  employers to set students up for success now and in the future. Students  practice these skills through various role plays.

Wilderness First Aid

 Do  you like to spend time outdoors? Accidents happen; if you or someone in  your group got hurt, would you know what to do? People get hurt, sick,  or lost.  Many back country emergencies are preventable and even when  bad things happen, sometimes the wrong care can make things worse.
 

Wilderness  First Aid is the perfect course for the outdoor enthusiast or trip  leader who wants more than basic level of first aid training for short  trips with family, friends, and outdoor groups. The 16 hour long  (two-day) program focuses on the skills of: Response and Assessment,  Musculoskeletal Injuries, Environmental Emergencies, Survival Skills,  Soft Tissue Injuries, and Medical Emergencies.
 

Those  who complete the course and pass the written and practical skills will  receive a Wilderness First Aid certification from SOLO which is valid  for 2 years. SOLO is among the leaders in Wilderness Medicine Training  and certification. Coffee and snacks will be provided each day.

Come  and join Merrimack Parks & Recreation and Staff from Camp Naticook  during this no school day camp program with activities designed to keep  your children busy and entertained all day long.

 

We  will spend our day at Wasserman Park where children will participate in  a variety of sports, games, arts & crafts projects, nature  exploration, outdoor activities and much more. 


A daily hot lunch is  included in the cost of your tuition.  Advanced registration is required  and spaces are limited.  Pick up and drop off at Wasserman Park - no  bus transportation provided.

Twas the Night Before - Cirque Du Soleil

Come  and join Merrimack Parks & Recreation as we travel down the Boch  Center in Boston to see Cirque du Soleil's "Twas the Night Before".


'TWAS  THE NIGHT BEFORE... is Cirque du Soleil's first holiday show, based on the classic poem “A Visit from Saint Nicolas” by Clement Clarke Moore.  This festive show brings a flurry of love, Christmas cheer, thrilling  acrobatics and hugely lovable characters that will create a new holiday  tradition for families to cherish.


Registration  includes deluxe Motor Coach Transportation and balcony level seating to  the show. Trip departs from Twin Bridge Park, located at 485 Daniel  Webster Highway in Merrimack at 11:15 am and we return to Merrimack at  approximately 4:30 pm.

The Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and Conductor Keith Lockhart return to SNHU Arena for their sparkling and beloved HOLIDAY POPS CONCERT on  Sunday, December 7th.
 

The  Boston Pops will perform their signature “Sleigh Ride,” as well as  other holiday classics, and new arrangements of seasonal favorites.  Santa Claus himself will make a guest appearance during the concert’s  finale followed by the traditional Boston Pops Holiday Sing-a-long to  bring this special performance to a close.
 

The  Parks & Recreation Department has been able to secure a limited  number of tickets is Section 126, Rows, N, P & Q. Seats are sold on a  first come first serve basis and we do expect to sell out.
