Out of an abundance of caution, the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department has made the decision to postpone the 34th Annual Winter Carnival, originally scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday, February 7th,) at Wasserman Park.
Due to predicted weather conditions, including extreme cold with “feels like” temperatures in the single digits and an expected 3–5 inches of snowfall during the time of the event, the department is concerned for the safety of all attendees. These concerns include travel to and from the park, as well as pedestrian safety walking up and down the snow-covered park road. The postponement will also allow the Merrimack Department of Public Works to focus on snow removal and road safety throughout the community.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and hope that you will be able to join us for the rescheduled event on Saturday, February 21st, from 12:00–3:00 PM at Wasserman Park.
The date is approaching fast and we’re making preparations. Don’t miss out!
