The Parks & Recreation Department invites you to join us on Saturday, February 8th for the 33rd Annual Winter Carnival at Wasserman Park which will run from 12 – 3 pm. This Annual Event promotes enjoying the outdoors during the winter months and features free, games, crafts, raffles and other activities.

We are currently looking for Businesses & Community Organizations to join us for this great Community Festival by providing a free game, craft or other outdoor activity at the event. There is no fee to participate and it is a great way to get your business out in front of lots of Merrimack Families! Typically this event draws more than 1000 attendees. This event is held entirely outdoors. Interested businesses & community organizations should click on the link to register as a Community Partner. Deadline to register your organization is January 31st, 2025.

Cardboard Box Sled Contest

Lions Club Kids Ice Fishing Derby

Test your creativity by constructing cardboard sled capable of withstanding and completing a mind-chilling descent down our sledding hill! Free Event but advanced registration is required. Registration deadline is Friday, Feb 7th at 12:00 pm

Lions Club Kids Ice Fishing Derby

With temperatures cold enough to finally free the lake; the Lions Club Ice Fishing Derby returns to Lake Naticook during the event.

Merrimack Lions will provide ice fishing for kids from 12-3pm. Trophies will be awarded for first fish, largest fish, most challenging, etc. All equipment will be provided by the Lions

Ice Carving Demonstration

Ice Breakers will be returning once again for their annual Ice Carving Demonstration. In the span of 3 hours they will carve a magnificent sculpture from start to finish. Stop by to check them out
