Come and join the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department this summer for our free weekly Summer Concert Series at Abbie Griffin Park. Concerts are held on Wednesday Nights starting at 6:00 pm and each week features a different musical style. Come on down and bring your family & friends along with your blankets or lawn chairs, and your dinner and to enjoy this free night of entertainment each week.
Each week, Franklin Savings Bank will be giving out Free popcorn during the show.
Wednesday, June 19th - Kier Byrnes & the Kettle Burners:
Kier Byrnes has been all over the globe thanks to music; touring in over 17 countries. He has performed in the Middle East for the troops, at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, and a Johnny Cash-style gig at a Belgian prison. At a private show for Jim Beam Whiskeys in Clermont, Kentucky, Byrnes and his band were rewarded with a personal tour of the distillery by none other than the great grandson (and Master Distiller) of Jim Beam. Kier Byrnes is joined by The Kettle Burners (Jason McGorty, Joe Miller, Dan DiBacco & Brian Lilienthal); a spirited Celtic band that effortlessly merges the rootsy sounds of traditional country music with the enchanting melodies of Irish folk.
Wednesday, June 26th - Ben Rudnick & Friends
Ben is a musician, singer-songwriter and composer who has performed and recorded family music with his band, Ben Rudnick and Friends, since 2000! Some of their hit songs include A Frog Named Sam, Sally Salamander, Chicken Soup Ballad and tons more! Together, they discuss turning A Frog Named Sam into its own musical, filming the music videos for their songs, winning seven Parents' Choice Awards for his work in the music business and many more! Children's Concert in conjunction with the Merrimack Public Library and the start of the Summer Reading Program.

Always popular, the Reminisants make their Annual return to Merrimack. The Reminisants have been entertaining audiences of all ages throughout New England since 1973. The band specializes in oldies music from the 1950s through the ’90s, playing a collection of great music for all kinds of musical tastes and generations.
Wednesday, July 17th - The Slakas
The Slakas are a 5 piece Nashua-based classic/modern rock, high energy cover band that has been playing local venues & events in the southern NH area since 2004. The band consists of five hard working people that are anything BUT Slakas! The Slakas sound and music has been evolving over the years and they enjoy playing challenging songs that are not widely covered by other bands. They cover a wide variety of artists such as Led Zeppelin, Heart, Journey, Bad Co., Donna Summer, Luke Bryan, Pearl Jam and many many more. Their goal is to play high energy music that will get you up on your feet dancing or at least singing along!
Wednesday, July 24th - Shana Stack Band
The Shana Stack Band is one of the leading entertainers in New England. Winner of the New England Music Awards Band of the Year (Multi-Genre), New England Music Awards Country Band of the Year, The Independent Country Music Association's Country Band of the Year and Fans Choice Award, World's Best Indie Band by Wiles Magazine, Country Artist of the Year by the Limelight Music Awards. The Shana Stack Band has opened on the Main Stage for such stars as Toby Keith (Bank of NH Pavilion), Craig Morgan (Delta Dental Stadium), Travis Tritt (New Hampshire Motor Speedway), and The Marshall Tucker Band (Northlands Live). They have performed on the Magic Hat Stage at Bank of NH Pavilion for the following national acts: Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, Kane Brown, Reba McEntire, Sugarland, The Band Perry, Rascal Flatts, and Little Big Town.
The band has performed shows all across New England at a variety of large venues including Turning Stone Casino in NY, Tupelo Music Hall, Bank of NH Pavilion, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Toby Keith's Bar & Grill, Dartmouth College, The Colonial Theater, The Show Room and the Big E Fair. The Shana Stack Band has released 4 albums of original music: "You Can't Make Me Fal", "What you See Is What You Get", "Every Now and Then" and Then and Now". As well as a mini EP which featured their single "I Need A Day" which they released a music video for. Their music can be found online on ITunes, Amazon, Spotify and YouTube. Originally formed in 2008 as Jimmy Buffett tribute, The Island Castaways Band have evolved into one of New England’s most popular Trop Rock bands. The Bedford Big Band is a 19- piece band of talented musicians from NH and MA, and love to perform swing dance music in the style of Count Basie to Duke Ellington, plus your favorite pop, funk, and Latin selections. We look forward to seeing you at your event and have plenty of music for everyone and every age!
Wednesday, August 21st - Judy Pancoast
Grammy-nominated children's musician Judy Pancoast will bring the fun with her lively concert of clever, all-original music. Come prepared to sing, dance, and swim in Jello! For extra fun, be sure to listen to Judy's music ahead of time on Spotify and all the major streaming services, and your family will have an even more memorable, fun-filled evening. This concert is held in conjunction with the Merrimack Public Library and the end of the summer reading program.
