Seeing a need for affordable after school child care; the Parks & Recreation Department is starting a new After School Program for Fall 2023. The Naticook After School program offers a safe, supportive alternative between school and home for children in grades K - 4. NASP will run from 2:45 pm - 6:00 pm Monday-Friday throughout the school year and is held in the Function Hall at Wasserman Park. . For our initial year, Bus Transportation from Thornton's Ferry Elementary School will be provided. As this program grows, we hope to eventually expand to the other elementary schools in town.
During the school year at the Naticook After School Program we build an environment where your child(ren) will have the opportunity to create new friendships with peers, complete their homework, learn new games, and create arts and crafts. We pride ourselves on having a united staff that shows your child(ren) great compassion and care. Your child(rens) safety is our number one priority. It is important that your child(ren) have the best after school experience we can possibly provide. We want your child(ren) to leave the program with great memories and relationships with their peers and staff.
The Naticook After School Program is led by our Camp Director & After School Program Coordinator Hannah Cote. We operate based upon the Merrimack School District calendar and so when school is closed; we are also closed. On days where there is an early release day from School; we open early and run a longer program on those days.
