1‑mile loop around Blueberry Island
A scenic, beginner‑friendly course perfect for all skill levels.

AWARDS & TIMING
* A limited number of Canoes & Stand UP Paddle Boards are available to rent for those who do not own one and would like to participate in the race at a cost $10 per boat. Please select at time of registration.
Race Start Time: 10:30 am
Cost: $25 per entry

Equipment Rules
• Life vests are mandatory and must be worn at all times while on the water.
• Only kayaks, canoes, and stand‑up paddle boards are allowed.
• Personal equipment must be in safe, working condition.
• No motors or sails — human power only.
• Paddles must be used as intended (no hand‑paddling to gain advantage).
Race Format
Categories start 10 minutes apart in this order:
• Participants must start in their assigned wave.
• Crossing the start line early results in a time penalty.
• All racers must follow the marked course.
• Cutting corners or skipping buoys results in disqualification.
Safety Rules
• Lifeguards will be present — follow their instructions at all times.
• If a racer falls out, they may re‑enter their boat/board as long as it’s safe.
• If a lifeguard instructs a racer to stop, they must stop immediately.
• No intentional collisions or blocking.
• Anyone showing signs of distress will be pulled from the race for safety.
Sportsmanship
• Be respectful to fellow racers, volunteers, and staff.
• No foul language or unsportsmanlike behavior.
Weather & Conditions
• The event will proceed rain or shine unless conditions are unsafe.
• In case of lightning or severe weather, the race may be delayed or canceled.
Fun & Community
• Costumes are allowed as long as they don’t interfere with safety.
• Cheering sections are encouraged along the shoreline.
• Post‑race photos and celebrations welcome at the finish area
